FormatIO is provided by Alcyonite. These terms describe the service and its optional subscription. The license to the iOS app is governed by Apple’s Standard End User License Agreement. Purchases are also subject to the applicable Apple Media Services terms.
Using FormatIO
FormatIO extracts information from text you supply and renders it into reusable text. Use it only with content you are entitled to process and share, and in accordance with applicable law. You retain your rights in your content.
Review generated information
Generated formats and extracted details may be incomplete or inaccurate. Check results against the original message before sending them, entering them into another system, or relying on them. FormatIO is not a source of professional, medical, legal, or financial advice.
Requirements and availability
Generation requires iOS 26 or later on an Apple Intelligence-compatible device with Apple Intelligence enabled and the on-device language model available. Device, language, and regional availability may vary. There is no remote AI fallback. iCloud features require an Apple Account signed in to iCloud, connectivity, and sufficient storage.
Free features and subscriptions
The free app includes one custom format and the included order format. Conversion, field editing, history, text and JSON export, and iCloud sync are free. FormatIO Unlimited unlocks unlimited custom formats. The monthly and yearly plans provide the same feature.
US prices are $1.99 per month and $9.99 per year. The App Store shows the price and billing period for your region before purchase. No trial is currently advertised.
Billing, renewal, and cancellation
Apple charges payment to your Apple Account. Subscriptions renew automatically unless canceled at least 24 hours before the current period ends. Your account is charged for renewal within 24 hours before the end of the current period. Manage or cancel your subscription in App Store account settings. Cancellation stops future renewals; access continues through the paid period unless Apple revokes the transaction.
After the subscription ends, your existing formats and saved results remain accessible. Creating additional custom formats requires an active subscription. Restore Purchases is in Settings. Refund requests are handled by Apple through Report a Problem, subject to Apple’s policies and your statutory rights.
Your data
The privacy policy explains on-device processing, private iCloud storage, sharing, and deletion. Keep separate copies of information important to your business. Deleting a format does not remove snapshots retained in previous results.
License, warranties, and changes
Apple’s Standard EULA sets out the app license, warranty terms, limitations of liability, and termination provisions. Nothing on this page excludes rights that cannot be excluded under applicable law. We may update FormatIO and these terms as the service changes; the date above identifies the current version.
